Evangelist Joseph Weatherford is a proud native of our nation’s capital and received his primary and secondary education from the Prince George’s County public school system in Maryland. After matriculating through Seattle University on a basketball scholarship, he returned home and showed an interest in the ministries and mission of this religious organization.
At the Passover of 1997, he answered the calling and was ordained an Elder and assigned to travel to Cumberland, MD once per month to preach and keep the members of that tabernacle encouraged.
In 1998 he married his wife Deborah and they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters Leah Elizabeth and Martha Lovey.
In August of 1999, Elder Weatherford was assigned as the Local Pastor of Fourth Tabernacle in Richmond, VA, where he is still honored to serve.
On May 25, 2002, Rabbi Jehu A. Crowdy Jr, GFA appointed him an Evangelist. In addition to this elevation that year, at the Annual Assembly, Rabbi Crowdy appointed him as the Corresponding Secretary of the Board of Presbytery. He also served on the Belleville Widows and Orphans Home Trustee Board for five years. At the 2018 Passover, Chief Rabbi Phillip E. McNeil appointed him the Central District Evangelist. During the Holy Convocation of 2021, Chief Rabbi McNeil appointed him Evangelist-at-Large and assigned Evangelist-at-Large Weatherford as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Evangelist Weatherford is an ardent believer that “it’s a blessing to be able to serve.”
